Description

The Mitras 910030 Aluminium Fire Resistant Electricity Meter Box Overbox is designed to cover an existing electricity meter box where a fire-resistant enclosure is required. It can be used with suitable internal or external electricity meter box installations and provides a repair or upgrade solution without requiring the complete existing meter box to be removed.

Manufactured from aluminium with a white finish, the Mitras IS5082 measures 575mm wide x 880mm high x 60mm deep. The overbox is designed to fit over the existing electricity meter box and is fixed to the surrounding structure.

The supplied product information states that the IS5082 provides a 60-minute fire rating and has been tested to EN 1363-1 and EN 1366-3. Because fire performance depends on the complete tested installation, the required fire resistance and suitability of the installation should be confirmed before fitting.
