Description

The Mitras 910024 Aluminium Architrave Overbox is designed as a repair solution for an existing recessed gas or electricity meter box. Rather than fixing to the surrounding brickwork, the architrave overbox is screwed onto the inside of the existing meter box, allowing the original recessed enclosure to remain in place.

Manufactured from white powder-coated aluminium, the Mitras IS5077 measures approximately 355mm wide x 620mm high x 30mm deep and is supplied with fixings. Its shallow 30mm profile provides a neat external finish for compatible recessed meter box installations.

The manufacturer confirms that this model is suitable for existing recessed gas or electricity meter boxes. Before ordering, check the dimensions and fixing arrangement of the existing meter box carefully to ensure compatibility.

Installation

The Mitras 910024 Architrave Overbox is screwed onto the inside of the existing recessed gas or electricity meter box. This differs from face-fix overboxes that are secured directly to the surrounding brickwork.

Check the existing meter box opening, dimensions and fixing arrangement before ordering to confirm that the IS5077 is suitable for the installation.
