Description

The Mitras 910023 Aluminium Architrave Overbox is designed as a repair solution for compatible recessed gas or electricity meter boxes, including cladded meter box installations. It provides a replacement outer enclosure while allowing the existing recessed meter box to remain in place.

Unlike a face-fix overbox that attaches directly to the surrounding brickwork, the Mitras IS5076 uses longer fixing brackets and is screwed onto the inside of the existing recessed gas or electricity meter box.

Manufactured from white powder-coated aluminium, the overbox measures approximately 550mm wide x 630mm high x 100mm deep and is supplied with the required fixings.

Installation

The Mitras 910023 Architrave Overbox incorporates longer fixing brackets and is screwed onto the inside of the existing recessed gas or electricity meter box. This differs from face-fix overboxes that are secured directly to the surrounding brickwork.

Before ordering, check the type, dimensions and installation of the existing meter box to ensure the IS5076 is suitable for the application.
