Description

The Mitras Fire Retardant Recessed Electricity Meter Box M02025 is a durable domestic electricity meter enclosure designed to accommodate all domestic electricity meters. Its recessed design allows the box to be built neatly into an external wall, providing a secure and weather-resistant housing for domestic electricity meter installations.

Manufactured from glass reinforced plastic using DMC material that complies with BS 476 Part 7 Class 2, the M02025 is designed for applications where enhanced fire-retardant material properties are required. Please note that this product does not have a 30-minute fire rating, and suitability should be confirmed with local Building Control before purchase.

The meter box features pre-drilled cable entry positions, with cable entry possible through the face of the wall or via the cavity, providing flexibility for different installation requirements.

Designed for external use, the enclosure is weather resistant and will not rot or corrode. A meter box key is also included.

Installation

The Mitras M02025 is designed for recessed installation into an external wall. The required brickwork opening measures 365mm wide x 535mm high x 150mm deep.

Cable entry can be made through the face of the wall or via the cavity, with pre-drilled cable entry positions providing additional installation flexibility.
