Description

The Mitras Brown Recessed Gas Meter Box G01134 is a durable domestic gas meter box designed for recessed installation into an external wall. Suitable for all domestic U6 and G4 gas meters, it is designed to mirror the appearance and dimensions of a standard recessed electric meter box, making it ideal for creating a neat, consistent finish on residential properties.

Manufactured from tough glass reinforced plastic (GRP), the meter box is weather resistant and designed for long-term outdoor use. The GRP construction will not rot or corrode, providing a durable enclosure for domestic gas meter installations.

The box is fully approved to National Grid Gas specifications and complies with BS 8499:2017 requirements for domestic gas meter boxes and meter brackets.

Installation

The Mitras G01134 is designed for recessed installation into an external wall, with the service entry positioned on the face of the wall. The required brickwork opening measures 360mm wide x 520mm high x 150mm deep.

A replacement door is available separately for this meter box. The Mitras G01039 replacement door measures 383mm wide x 550mm high.
