Description

The Mitras MK3 Surface Mounted Electricity Meter Box M06004 is a durable domestic electricity meter box designed for surface-mounted installations where it is not suitable or practical to build a recessed meter box into the wall. It is particularly suitable for property conversions, refurbishments and installations where no suitable wall cavity is available.

Manufactured from tough glass reinforced plastic (GRP), the MK3 is weather resistant and designed for long-term outdoor use. The GRP construction will not rot or corrode and the enclosure is suitable for all domestic electricity meters.

The meter box features a fitted baseboard for mounting equipment and allows cable entry either from the face of the wall or via the cavity. It is also fire retardant to E.S.I. Standard 12-3 and is supplied with a meter box key.

The Mitras MK3 complies with BS 8567:2012 requirements for outdoor electricity meter cupboards.

Installation

The Mitras M06004 is designed for surface mounting, so no brickwork opening is required. Cable entry can be made through the face of the wall or via the cavity, providing flexibility for different installation requirements.

Replacement Door

A replacement door is available separately for this meter box. The Mitras M00034 replacement door measures 383mm wide x 550mm high.

Please Note: Meter boxes are designed for outdoor use. Due to the nature of the GRP material and manufacturing process, the product may have minor cosmetic imperfections, including scuffs and scratches. These do not affect the performance or functionality of the meter box.
