Mitras Multibox Universal Gas Meter Box

The Mitras Multibox Universal Gas Meter Box G60034 is a larger, versatile domestic gas meter enclosure designed to accommodate U6 (G4) domestic gas meters, including prepayment meters and some medium-pressure installations. Its increased capacity and flexible installation options make it a practical choice where additional space is required for the meter and associated equipment.

The G60034 features a fitted meter bracket and can be installed either partially submerged at ground level or fixed directly to an external wall. When installed at ground level, the box is submerged by approximately 75mm, allowing it to be positioned without bridging the property's damp-proof course.

The gas service enters through the bottom left-hand side of the enclosure, where a built-in mounting is provided for a PE pipe transition fitting. Gas outlet positions are located on the right-hand side, providing a practical layout for installation.

Manufactured from durable glass reinforced plastic (GRP), the Multibox is weather resistant and designed for long-term outdoor use. The enclosure will not rot or corrode and is fire retardant to BS 476 Part 7 Class 2. A meter box key is also included.

The Mitras G60034 complies with BS 8499:2017 requirements for domestic gas meter boxes and meter brackets.

Installation

The Mitras G60034 offers two installation options. It can be fitted at ground level and submerged approximately 75mm into the ground, or it can be fixed directly onto an external wall. The ground-level arrangement allows the enclosure to be positioned without bridging the damp-proof course.

The gas service entry is located at the bottom left-hand side of the meter box and incorporates a built-in mounting for the PE pipe transition fitting. The gas outlet positions are located on the right-hand side of the enclosure.
