Description

The Mitras MK2 Surface Mounted Gas Meter Box G70036 is a durable, weather-resistant domestic gas meter box designed for surface-mounted installations where there is no suitable wall cavity for a recessed meter box.

Supplied complete with back plate and cover, the MK2 is ideal for property conversions, refurbishments and replacement installations. It can also be used as a replacement cover for a damaged or broken gas meter box by removing the back plate where appropriate.

Manufactured from tough glass reinforced plastic (GRP), the meter box is designed for outdoor use and will not rot or corrode. It is suitable for domestic U6/G4 gas meters, is approved to National Grid Gas specifications and complies with BS 8499:2017 requirements for domestic gas meter boxes and meter brackets.

Installation

The service entry is fixed on the bottom left-hand side and features a built-in mounting point for a PE pipe transition fitting. The gas outlet can be positioned through the bottom right-hand side or via the rear knockout, providing flexibility during installation.
