Mitras White Universal MK2 Unibox Gas Meter Box

The Mitras MK2 Unibox G02028 is a universal domestic gas meter box designed to provide greater flexibility for modern gas meter installations, including J42 regulators, smart meters and prepayment meters. Finished in white, it provides a versatile alternative to the brown G02026 version while retaining the same dimensions and installation features.

The MK2 Unibox features a redesigned enclosure and lid to provide additional flexibility for modern metering equipment. Pre-moulded pipe knockouts within the body allow inlet and outlet positions to be configured more easily, helping to make installation quicker and more straightforward.

An integrated lid locking mechanism provides improved security, while advanced moulded lid hinges are designed to offer greater durability and convenient access to the meter and associated equipment.

Manufactured from durable glass reinforced plastic (GRP), the Mitras G02028 provides a robust enclosure for domestic gas meter installations and complies with BS 8499:2017 specifications.

Installation

The Mitras MK2 Unibox has been designed with installer flexibility in mind. Pre-moulded pipe knockouts within the body of the enclosure allow the required inlet and outlet positions to be created quickly and easily during installation.

The redesigned enclosure provides additional flexibility for J42 regulators and the latest smart and prepayment gas meters, making the G02028 suitable for a range of modern domestic gas meter installations.

Product Specifications

Replacement Lid

A replacement white lid is available separately for this meter box. The compatible replacement is the Mitras G02029 MK2 Unibox Spare Lid.

The MK2 Unibox is also available in brown under model number G02026, with the corresponding G02027 brown replacement lid.
